"An Evening on the Town"
Historic Downtown Morgan City
Saturday, July 21

Morgan City Main Street and St. Mary Arts & Humanities Council hosted "An Evening on the Town," Saturday, July 21, with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra at the Front Street Dock. The concert was very well received, with attendance estimated at close to one thousand people. Jackie Price, an historic district merchant, stated, "The Wind Symphony Orchestra was the major event of the year for Morgan City.

The ensemble groups who played downtown were very much appreciated and provided an excellent opportunity for people to meet some of the musicians in an informal setting. All of the participating downtown merchants were happy to have such a prestigious cultural event take place on our doorstep."
